If you know “Sister” at all, you also know “The Aunts”. Aunt Donna, Auntie Rain, and our mother, Randvig, to complete the trio. These women are near and dear to our hearts ALWAYS. Auntie Rain died a couple of years ago right after Christmas which is perfect because she LOVED Christmas.
Sister recently performed at Lorraine’s church (Trinity in Beloit, WI) where she was a choir director forever. We stayed with Aunt Donna. We sang Alisa’s arrangement of “The Old Rugged Cross” which makes Randvig cry every time! Aunt Donna sings, too, with a warm alto voice but prefers to listen and make food. Mom says Donna’s cooking is most like Olga’s (our grandmother). Donna says Olga preferred cooking to performing as well. Donna made us caramel rolls when we were there but thought the caramel was too runny.
