I am the audience member from Seattle, WA. I just wanted to let you know how very much I enjoyed your performance. There were so many aspects of your show that touched me – being from a family of strong (yes, Norwegian) women, having grown up eating Lefse and “food, food, food” at every family gathering and your rendition of The Old Rugged Cross – it was my grandmother’s favorite hymn (she passed away this past October). Thank you so much for sharing your gifts with the world – you are truly special women. By the way, there is actually a Norwegian Heritage Museum in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, so if you ever find your way to the beautiful Pacific Northwest, you will undoubtedly have a following 🙂
I want to pass on my sincere thanks for your great performance here at BARC in Windom last Saturday for our Showcase. Your strong voices and harmony are so awesome and very refreshing to hear, and I am so pleased that it worked out for Sister to travel down our way!

Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of working with Sister on a couple of different occasions with the Nordic Brunch, Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum’s annual Twin Cities benefit.   The music they provided for the event was incredibly well-received by our guests. Sister presented their story with humor, infused with music while respectfully paying tribute to their Scandinavian family and traditions. Their act featured a wide-variety of nuances from the Norwegian culture that are time-honored traditions, but when combined with family stories and interesting dynamics, it presents audiences with an opportunity to reminisce about their own personal heritage – having mass appeal across generations and shedding a modern take on memories that many Scandinavians have from their past. Following our event, we had groups of guests gathering around them for photos – almost as if they had their own Nordic Paparazzi. By the end of their appearance, it felt as though they were a part of all of our individual families.
Sincerely, Elizabeth
